Joshua Kendall awarded David Leslie Cadet Marshal of the Year Award
15 year-old is the youngest ever recipient of the award
04/02/2010 - Local marshal Joshua Kendall has been awarded the BMMC North East Region David Leslie Cadet Marshal of the Year Award at Cadwell Park last Sunday (31 January) during the annual marshal training day.
The award is given to a marshal under the age of 18 who is believed to have shown outstanding enthusiasm, commitment and involvement to motorsport.
A fellow marshal commented on Joshua's marshalling skills: "He is a well liked, enthusiastic marshal who has a good sense of humour but takes his involvement seriously. He shows great respect to those around him and has made considerable progress in the last year. Josh should be encouraged and rewarded for his dedicated contribution to motor sport."
Joshua is the third generation of his family to take up marshalling as his mother, sister, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins have all marshalled at Lincolnshire's premier circuit.
Other marshals honoured on the night included Maureen Barnes who was awarded the Chris Swan Memorial Trophy and Ken Wilson who received the BMMC North East Marshal of the Year award.
Cadwell Park will have its busiest ever season in 2010 with two rounds of the MCE British Superbike Championship and a debut visit from the Modified Live series. For more information on purchasing tickets for these events call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
